1. Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.” 2. I will respond by asking you 5 questions of a very personal nature. 3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions. 4. You will include this and an offer to interview someone else in the post. 5. When others comment asking to be interviewed you will ask them 5 questions.
Mine via Jaclyn
1)Who have you been jealous of and why? (I'm looking for an answer that does not include money or relationship, those are like, givens) Currently I'm jealous of people who are closer to their families than I. :( 2)What dish soap do you buy? Currently I'm using Ultra Palmolive...it's phosphate free! :) 3)Favorite book? Wicked by Gregory Maguire...It's a lot deeper than the play and has some holocaust-esque undertones. It touches on the true nature of evil by using a little kids story and flipping it on it's head. Pretty amazing. Definately something Peggy would like. haha 4)What's your view on abortion? I 'm pro-choice. Completely. 5)If you had to be one, hooker or stripper? Why? Stripper, because then I would have less of a chance of getting some nasty std or something. But I'd have to take some dancing lessons. haha

For my graduation gift from my parents I have been enrolled in scuba lessons. I've scuba(ed) before, so it's kind of a refresher course, but now I can register to get my certification! woot!
The funniest part though is all the books and videos you watch keep saying "Make sure to keep breathing," "Never ever forget to breathe," "The singular most important rule of scuba is to never stop breathing." And one reads this and thinks "...duh." But it's amazing how acutely aware of your breathing you become when underwater. All of a sudden you have to think about every single breath you take and remind yourself that air will be there, and not water. It's almost like a panic sensation, you have to fight your senses.
When you actually get to dive though, and you're comfortable with all of the equipment you have, all of the panic goes away. All of a sudden you're surrounded by the most vibrant colors and life you've ever seen, and your only obligation is to breathe. There's no need to think about all the problems you may have, you're too distracted by everything to think about that anyways. All of a sudden you gain access to about 70% of the planet that not many other people get to see. It's like a gift from nature, access to the one of the most private sector of her being...and all you have to do is breathe.

I'm going to Florida for the week. If I didn't tell you don't be offended. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it.
Simultaneously, the point permeates my heart while the hilt crushes my head.
I wish you could see past this mask. I wish I knew where the mask began and ended.
I need to leave. I need to stay.
I can't leave. I can't stay.
I need to be alone. Please don't let me be alone.
Da capo al fine.

Dear teachers, Please stop pointing out that we will never be as smart/talented/good as last years class. I'm sick of hearing about it from almost all of you. We get it. Now shut the hell up so we can try and get out of their shadows. Kthanks. -Mariah

I won't regret saying this This thing that I'm saying. Is it better than keeping my mouth shut? That goes without saying. Call, break it off Call, break my own heart. Maybe I would have been something you'd be good at. Maybe you would have been something I'd be good at. But now we'll never know. I wont be sad but in case I'll go there everyday. To make myself feel bad there's a chance I'll start to wonder if this was the thing to do.

1) This weekend turned out pretty okay! 2) I miss you. 3) You never fail to disappoint me. 4) I can't wait to go to college. Mostly to get away from things. But at the same time I'm scared. 5) The snow looks pretty, too bad it's so cold. 6) Things would probably be better if I never talked to you again. 7) I hate watching movies alone. 8) You disgust me. 9) I'm glad I'm leaving soon because I'm becoming less and less tolerant of things/people here. 10) I don't think we should be friends anymore. Honestly. 11) I'm more than willing to break my own heart. 12) Sorry. 13) Vacation please. 14) The song Dark Come Soon by Tegan and Sara pretty much is me right now. 15) Do you even care? I'm just wondering. Because you certainly don't appear to.

I just want to take this moment and tell you guys about how this week has been one of the best in my entire life.
Introduction - Tegan and Sara are probably my favorite band, and when I heard they were going to be in Detroit I went to buy tickets and they were already sold out....two months early. I also found out that they were going to be in Ann Arbor playing at a Borders on a Tuesday but I didn't have the car and my mom refused to let me skip...not awesome...BUT on to the amazing parts.
1) My mom attempted to get me autographs from Borders...it didn't work out but I did find out that they will be back in the spring!
2) Multiple dinner dates with people.
3) Charlotte's birthday dinner which lead to...
4) Surprise being able to go to the Tegan and Sara concert! The nice bouncer let me in even though it was completely sold out. The concert was absolutely amazing. Tegan and Sara are amazing.
5) I got to meet Sara!!!!!!! She signed my shirt and gave me a hug. :D
6) I got accepted to Florida State University, my number one choice school
7) Going to see THE GOLDEN COMPASS!!!!!! a week early with Samm, Rube, and Ms. Veresh!!
8) THE MOVIE WAS AMAZING! Granted, it didn't follow the book as well as I had hoped it would and a lot of the religious stuff had to be dumbed down because people are stupid. But it was an extremely well made, amazing movie that everybody must go see. (I personally liked the Golden Compass series significantly more than Harry Potter. Opinions? I'm not interested in your opinion unless you've read both though. Otherwise it's unfair.)
9) Human Body exhibit at the science center
10) Got a 9 on a Peggy impromptu
11) I got offered a job as either a) a crew hand or b) an Emmy girl at the Michigan Emmy Awards in June.
12) And most importantly going out to dinner and to Borders with Billy love. :P
:D

| Rhetorical Question |
[24 Jul 2007|01:44am] |
How is it that human beings can know that something, someone, or some situation is bad for them...but continue to not leave it?
...And why am I so good at it?
Non-rhetorical Question
If you could choose one emotion (or more?) to describe yourself, what would it be? And by describe yourself I mean more...describe your thoughts. Happy and sad work but I'm hoping you all will be more creative than that. I think mine would be a mix of jealousy and frustration. Not that I'm never happy.
I still find myself compulsively checking livejournal even though nobody ever uses it anymore. Habit, I suppose.

| Book Request |
[20 May 2007|04:35pm] |
If anybody out there is looking for a book to read I have a great one. Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. It's only for you if you have a relatively open mind though. It's a story about the genetic history of Calliope Stephanides, a psuedo-hermaphrodite. I know it sounds kinda weird but its soooo amazing. You get to feel so connected to each character and each generation of the family and you get drawn in to not only Cal's personal drama but that of their entire family history. It's really interesting and it's very emotional. So if you want a good read...that would be my recommendation.
Anybody else have any amazing books they want to share? Give me a the title, author, and a short description. I plan to read a lot this summer. : )
